Landscape Ironworks was created as a means to achieve the personal satisfaction that wasn't being met in my career as a general contractor.  Traveling around and talking to farmers about the abandoned equipment on their property indulges my love of hearing the "stories" of humanity one human at a time.  Salvaging the equipment that would eventually end up in a landfill or scrapyard is one of my contributions to taking better care of earth than we have in the past.  Creating the  planters, firepits and other pieces from the reclaimed iron indulges my need for artistic expression.  So, on many levels, each piece is truly a labor of love.

We are driven by the desire to create and do outside the box and to use our natural recourses to the best of our ability.  Iron's ability to outlive its usefulness for what it was originally intended is an inspiration.  Most all of the iron used to build this unique outdoor decor has been reclaimed from ranches, farms, backyards, some industrial sites and even from the ditchs along our highways.  Every piece of iron used to put together these items could and still may someday be recycled into something else - from traffic signs to kitchen appliances.  Iron truly is a magnificent natural resource.  It brings great pleasure to take these tools of industry and rest them in places where we can appreciate their awesome existence.
